Privacy Policy

We collect what we need to run Dream and keep it safe. We don't sell your personal information. We share data with a small set of service providers (listed below) who help us operate the Platform, and we delete your data when you ask us to, subject to legal retention rules.

We collect three categories of information:

• Account information. Your email, display name, and, if you choose, profile fields like avatar and bio. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile information.
• Activity. The projects you create, like, comment on, and back; your credit transactions; and basic device, browser, and IP information used for security and abuse prevention.
• Payment information. Processed entirely by Stripe. We receive a confirmation that a charge succeeded, the amount, and a token that lets us reconcile the transaction. We do not store your card number.

We use your information to operate the Platform: to authenticate you, credit your balance, run the like, vote, and pledge mechanics, deliver streaming content to backers, send transactional emails (sign-in links, receipts, project updates you have opted into), prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal obligations.

We do not run third-party advertising on Dream. We do not sell your personal information.

We share data only with the service providers that make the Platform work:

• Supabase. Database and authentication. Stores account, profile, project, pledge, and comment data.
• Stripe. Payment processing. Handles credit-card data and tax compliance.
• Mux. Video hosting and streaming for trailers and finished films.
• Resend. Transactional email delivery.
• Vercel and Railway. Hosting providers for the website and backend.
• Sentry. Error monitoring; receives diagnostic data when something breaks.
• Anthropic. Helps us moderate comments and proposals. We send the text of the submission, not your account identity.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dream or its users.

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in (the Supabase session cookie) and to remember preferences. We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; doing so will sign you out.

We encrypt data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest where our providers support it. We use row-level security policies in the database so that, by default, you can only read and write your own records. We rotate keys, monitor errors, and patch quickly. No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect a breach, please contact us.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct or update inaccurate personal information.
• Delete your account and the personal information associated with it.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Port your data to another service.

To exercise any of these rights, email alejandro.ortega@dreamfilm.app. We will respond within thirty days. We may need to verify your identity first.

We keep account and activity data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information from our active systems within thirty days, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, payment records for tax purposes) or to enforce our Terms.

Dream is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

We operate from the United States and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using Dream, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in these locations.

We may update this Policy as the Platform evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Platform at least seven days before the change takes effect.
